Abe entered the building to find the counter area completely on fire, and a man who had caught on fire. "DEAR GOD PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP!" The man screamed, Abe rushed into the back room and picked up a water bottle, he took off the cap and started pouring water on the man.

Lara looked back. "...I don't think he's going to be alright. We should bail on him before we get blamed for anything." She began to walk back to retrieve her motorcycle.

Shori ran past the escaping people before getting inside. The counter was burning, and it looked like the fire was spreading. Amidst the crackling of the flames, he could hear a cry for help from the floor above. "HELP ME!"

"I'M TRYING!" Said Abe, desperately looking around for more water. The only thing around were water bottles, so he tried to keep pouring them on the man as best as he could. After a while, the flames on the man died down and so did the ones on the counter. The man was either passed out or dead, so Abe decided to leave him be for a while.

"Damn. Cold, sugar. Cold." C.J. said, walking over to the car he loved so much. "Hey, I guess we need to stay somewhere new. So, see you around."

Suddenly, Conan was on the scene, charging towards the building. Halting on the sidewalk, he'd look over towards a fire hydrant, before charging over, and taking in a deep breath. He'd feel The Ripple coursing through his veins, and he brought his hand down upon the metal with a chop, sending a burst of energy into it. The hydrant would begin to tremble and shake, until the cap popped off, and water began to gush out from it. Taking in another deep breath, Conan would use both hands to direct the water towards the burning building.

The fire had spread to the floor above, where someone else was in peril. Shori ran past Abe, and up the stairs.

"...Sure." She put on her helmet again and sped off in search of a place to stay again. Well, that was a load of bad luck. It seems that I could get an ally out of this C.J. character, though. That is, if he turns out to be any good. Half of the people around here look like they'll barely make it past the first stage, if they get that far at all. Damn, I didn't get to finish my soup, either. What a tragedy.

C.J. got into his Virgin Killer and drove off a little ways outta town. He parked on the beach, facing towards the extremely cold looking ocean. He noticed a couple of other people camped out a little ways away. C.J. shrugged and turned on Jazz. He rolled down his window and propped his feet out, content to listen to music for the next couple of hours.

Abe walked past the stranger that ran past him, must be a friend or family member. Abe walked out of the store and unhitched Cajun from the post, he mounted her, and rode off into the sunset, looking for a place to stay. Tommorow, they would race.

Shori found another worker in one of the hallways upstairs. The fire made the floor's foundation weak. There was a large hole in the floor, too big to cross. "Help!" the female worker cried.

Seeing a man on a horse, Lara slowed down her bike and took off her helmet. Gesturing to the man, she asked,"Are you here for the race?"

Abe looked at the woman and nodded, "Yes, I am." He said, "I'm guessing you are here for the same reason, right?"

Using his hands as a guide, Conan directed the torrent of water into the blaze. In seconds, the flow of the fire hydrant would begin beating back the fires, putting out the flames with it's blasts.

"You would be guessing right." Lara looked the man and his "vehicle" over. "So, are you confident that you'll win with...a horse? I'm not gonna knock it, but it's still a little far-fetched, don't you think?"
