JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Planet Caravan
Welcome to the first press conference for the Poco Ball Run! We're here with Mr. Pocoloco himself! That's right, the man, the myth, the legend, Pocoooolocoooo!Pocoloco smiled and waved to the waiting crowd. He had done a good job of hyping this thing up. He slowly stood up and walked towards the podium, still smiling. Pocoloco, a person you could say was 'The luckiest man on earth'. Pocoloco, the richest man on the planet, who had made his fortune not just on prize money, but on a series of extremely lucky business deals. Pocoloco, a man over one hundred years old, but who only looked like he was in his late sixties, early seventies. How was all this possible? Well, Pocoloco has a special ability, called a stand, which gives near perfect luck. This ability is called Hey Ya!, after a horse Pocoloco once had, the horse he had won the Steel Ball Run race with. Well, he didn't technically win the...never mind. What matters is that he got the prize money.
Anyways, Pocoloco made his way to the podium, and smiled for the cameras. After about three minutes of smiling, he started his speech.
"Ahem. Welcome all, to the first press con-you know what it is. I'm too old to repeat all that. Anyways, so, we will do a recap of what will happen. Ahem," Pocoloco said, taking out a fork and throwing it behind him. No one there could have seen it, but a small, robotic person with a bucket for a head would briefly appear, causing the fork to amazingly bound off of a wall, hit a trashcan, and cut through a rope, causing a large map to drop down from the ceiling. Pocoloco took out a fold up cane and pointed it at the map.
"Now, the racers will start in Barrow, Alaska. From there, the racers will travel through Canada, the US, Mexico, and all the way to the very bottom of South America. From there, they will be transported by boat to South Africa. From there, they will travel all the way up to Morocco, where the racers will be transported across the Strait of Gibraltar. They will travel through Spain and through the rest of Europe. They will go all the way through Russia and back, then through the Middle East, THEN through Asia. The final stage will take place in Japan, ending in Sapporo. Now, any questions?"
The press all raised their hands, and after considering it for a moment, Pocoloco pointed to a young woman with blonde hair, because that was how he rolled. The woman stood up and asked, "Sir, how much is the prize money? Just to clarify for nay viewers at home who may not know."
Pocoloco nodded, saying "The prize money will be 500,000,000,000 dollars. Now, of course, that's not as much money as I have, but it's still a lot, obviously."
The woman sat back down. Pocoloco chose another young blonde woman, because fuck it. He wanted something nice to look at while he got asked dumb questions.
"Um, sir, won't there be many deaths and injuries?"
Pocoloco nodded, saying "Yes. My scientists have figured about twenty percent of the racers will die, forty to fifty percent will drop out, ten-twenty percent will be injured, and the rest will actually finish."
The woman, instead of following the one question per person rule, asked another question. "Sir, that seems a little high. Is this race really worth it?"
Pocoloco frowned and made a mental note to have that woman fired. He said, "This race....this race is very important to me. Almost one hundred years ago, I participated in the Steel Ball Run, a cross country horse race. I survived. I won. I believe that if a person has enough spirit, enough gumption, that anyone can do anything, including winning a race of this scale. That will be enough questions for now." Pocoloco said, waving to the crowd. He turned around and slowly climbed a ladder while everyone watched. At the top, he turned back to the cameras. "One final message! I, Pocoloco, would like to personally wish every single one of you who are participating in the race good luck! I hope you are the one to win it." Pocoloco said, pointing directly at a camera. And with that, he jumped off of the ladder, landing softly inside of a luxury limp. "Alright, fuck this. We're outta here."

It was cold.
He was in the blaring, July sun, and yet, even as he channelled Hamon through him, he could feel the cold entrenching itself within his extremities. As reached up, and wrapped his scarf further around his face, feeling relief at the warmth it brought, and considering, not for the first time, if he was going to need to change his outfit. With fingerless gloves, and torn jeans, he wasn't exactly prepared for this Arctic environment, and he was also sure that if he did not keep up the constant charge of Hamon, he could very well freeze if out here to long. He smiled briefly at the thought, thankful for another boon his bloodline had given him, and in that moment, made his decision. The Sabatons were a family descended from the Nordic Vikings, those who had braved temperatures just as harsh as this, and with their blood coursing through his veins, he felt confident he could withstand the chill just as he ancestors had. With that, Conan would crack his knuckles, and put his book away, stowing the tale of Barbarians, Swords and Sorcery in one of the bags upon The Road Warrior, his faithful steed, and custom built motorcycle. He wasn't far from Barrow now, the start point of Pocoloco's race, arguably the greatest race that would grace human history. He grinned underneath his scarf, feeling confident that he had what it took to, if not win the entire thing, finish it.
Kicking the engine on, with a roar, The Road Warrior was off, speeding down the long, desolate highways leading to the top of the world. Though Conan Sabaton could not tell right now, the hands of destiny guided his movements, and soon, the young man would be faced with the legacy of his bloodline.

Cajun ran gracefully through the frozen forest with Abe on his back, they were both heading towards the beginning of the race. "Master, I hope you know what you're doing." Abe thought to himself as he saw the variety of wicked vehicles parked nearby the sign-up booth. He dismounted and hitched up Cajun on a nearby post. He strolled in, his hands in the pockets of his robes due to the cold, and signed up on the sheet given on the way in. "Thank you sir, just remember to show up when the race begins." Said the bored man behind the desk as Abe handed him the sheet.

Paul slowly walked slowly, heavily placing his feet on the ground. He felt scared and afraid that during the race some crazed maniac would attack him, that they would kill him, just for some money.
"No...I must be strong." Paul thought. "For him." He whispered to himself as he calmed down and turned around while taking a piece of cloth from his pocket. He then started wiping his grand masterpiece: Gold Dust Woman.
He continued rubbing it until it was sparkling like gold and reflecting the beautiful sun rays of the Sun everywhere.
Paul felt content while looking at his work of art, before looking at the other racers a few dozens of meters next to him and thinking:
"It's time. I must prove myself."

Damn, it's way too cold up here. Do people really live in this part of the world? They're obviously much tougher than me.
Lara was bundled up to the point where not a single piece of exposed skin was shown to the outside. She looked to her side at the lonely environments that quickly sped past. It felt so lonely up here, like people weren't meant to be here. Thank god we'll get out of this cold once the race starts. If only they could have held it a bit to the South...whatever.
She leaned forward and accelerated even more, hoping to get to Barrow as soon as possible to register. I have to remember who I'm racing for, or else there's no point to me racing in the first place. Hang in there, Michael. Once I get the money, you'll get better in no time.
Finally, she rode into Barrows. Many other racers had gathered already. Damn, I guess a lot of other people had the same idea as me. Some of them seem to have some pretty crazy vehicles. Doesn't matter though, I've got the spirit to win, and that's what really matters.
She got off her bike and walked into the registration center. A bored man was sitting behind a desk. Lara took off her helmet and asked about how to enter. The bored man didn't speak up but simply handed her a registration sheet. After a few minutes, she had successfully signed up. She walked outside and took a deep breath full of frigid air. Well, I'm finally here.

Suddenly, a dazzlingly white Lamborghini Countach appeared on the horizon. As it got closer, the sounds of ACDC could be heard. The Countach came to a screeching halt in front of the registration booth, cutting in line and narrowly avoiding hitting several people. The music cut off as everyone could see a boot wearing foot kick open the door on the right side of the car. A tall man in a brown leather jacket stepped out and smiled. He turned to the nearest group of women and said, "Yes, ladies, your eyes do not deceive you. This is a Countach, and it is a Virgin Killer. I have to go register some stuff, but if ya'll wanna form a neat and orderly line near the hood of my car, I'll get back with you as soon as I can." The man winked and walked over to the registration booth, pushing several people out of the way.

Paul looked at the smug looking youngster bragging about his car and sighed, before concentrating on wiping his car again.
"I hate dipshits like him. Bragging about their cars only because of their looks and not because of their utility, experiences or feelings towards them." Paul said before softly touching Gold Dust Woman.
"Gold Dust Woman is very special to me. She was the first car that Doug and I made together...." Paul said as suddenly he noticed drops of water on his car.
He then wiped his face with the cloth.
"Damn. I really gotta stop doing that while remembering him..."

I guess some people just don't have any sort of modesty. I guess it was inevitable that some bone-skulls would show up, given this is a racing competition. Guys like him won't even get past the first stage.
She put on her helmet once more and got back on her motorcycle. Hopefully I can get some lodging while I wait for the race to begin. There's gotta be something around here, right?

Shori pulled in his leather jacket. "Damn, I knew I should've gotten something thicker," he cursed under his breath. "How is this place so cold in the Summer?" As he approached the registration booth, he could already see the crowd formed. "Well, at least I can get an interview in before the race." He opened his backpack, and took out his recorder, and Polaroid camera. Shori made sure the press badge around his neck was visible. He looked around, hoping to meet his first interviewee soon. He'd like to get something warm to eat soon.

With a roar, The Road Warrior came charging around the corner of the highway, and Conan brought it to a halt, looking out towards Barrow, so close now. Withdrawing a small flier from his pocket, he'd look it over, checking to see where the registration area would be. With a smile, he'd crush the paper in his grip, and cast it aside. He was close now, and if he listened carefully, he could hear the idling engines of over a hundred different vehicles off in the distances, like the thunder of the heavens themselves. This was going to be an interesting day he thought, as he revved up The Road Warrior to answer their distant calls, and finally entered Barrow. - Within a few minutes, The Road Warrior announced it's presence as it arrived on the scene, it's metal shining in the sunlight, as it's rider slowed it down, and dismounted. Looking around, his scarf blowing in the soft breeze, he'd admire the collection of cars here.
"If I was a four wheels kind of guy, I would probably be drooling right now."
He particularly admired the golden vehicle that some guy was religiously scrubbing down, not to far off. His gaze would then turn to the registration booth, as he began to stride on over, his gait announcing his confidence, and attitude. As he moved into line, he'd withdraw a pencil from his pocket, and look around at the other people, before withdrawing a small map. He was already making his plans for where he'd stay, and from what he'd heard, the Whiskey In The Jar, a local hotel/bar combo, would have fine accommodations.

Paul started rubbing more and even more, until the car looked as if it was the embodiment of light itself, numerous sun rays reflecting off it, making it seem pure white. The rays were so hot and wide that they silenced the cold, leaving only a nice, warm feeling in the air.
"I should probably register now...." Paul thought as he wiped off some sweat from his brow due to the intense heat coming from his car. He headed towards the registration booth and quickly signed his name on the paper.
Before he went however, he noticed someone talking behind him.
"Sign here please." The inspector said lazily.
"Alright." A young voice said, as Paul turned around to see who was talking.
To his horror, the teenager who was writing on the sheet of paper had something peculiar in his grasp, a strange, horrifying pen was in his hand, its empty eyes staring deep into Paul's soul as ink started dropping from it.
"Oh sorry. I wrote with the wrong pen, could you give me a new sheet please?" The boy asked as he quickly put his pen back into his pocket.
"Whatever just do it." The inspector said, strangely not interested at the sight of the menacing pen.
The boy then took out another pen from a box and quickly wrote his signature before leaving.
"Man...There sure are some wackos in this place..." Paul thought.

C.J stared at the golden car and frowned. No one was paying attention to the real vehicle, his Virgin Killer. Glancing back at the man registering, he pick up a snowball with some rocks and ice in it and threw it at the car, before hopping in his Virgin Killer and driving towards town, looking for a place to stay.

Abe sighed at the man who threw a snowball at another racer's vehicle, it seems like not everyone will be civil in this race,

Paul heard a loud noise and suddenly realized a piece of his Gold Dust Woman was horribly damaged! He quickly rushed towards the car and rubbed the snow off it, but a part of it had to be fixed.
"This is no good! It would be a disgrace to start the race like this!" Paul said out-loud before getting his toolbox at the back of the car, full with tools of all kind.
"This will take a few minutes, but it will be worth the wait..." Paul said as he quickly started working on the car, but deep inside he was boiling with anger.
"If I find the shithead who did this....I'm going to make him pay!" Paul thought with great anger and determination before remembering that was what he always thought before wetting himself in front of bullies.
"GODDAMNIT!" Paul shouted out-loud once more. "Why do I always remember that shit!?"

Shori saw the Lambroghini speed off after its driver pelting another vehicle. "Not the most courteous people, are they?" he thought before turning his attention to the man cleaning his car. "Excuse me?" Shori asked as he approached him. "Are you alright?"
