"You have nothing to apologize for, Ilya." Leonore responded. "I rarely drink at it is, but something tells me you are not afraid to try the liquor around here."

"I'm bored. You all are boring." SaturDay sat down in one of the chairs and rocked her head back and forth, SunDay already dozing off in the chair next to her.

"Oh ho, you'd be the right!" Ilya said with a proud thump of his chest. "I have been drinking the liquors of every country I've been being to. Is personal challenge I am having, fight drunk on every kind of the booze."

Arzu took out his autobiography and began to write in it, glancing up every now and then.

Alek took one of the drinking horns and took a long draft, crinkling her nose slightly when the vodka hit her tongue. Better stuff than she's had in a while, anyways. She glanced over at the German, Konrad. His physique reminded Alek sorely of her own--she never truly passed for a man, and all her medical inspections were passed with some help from currency, food, or information. Alek shook her head. No, no. No brooding. The Cossack was right--it was a time if merriment now.

Damn, this was turning into a disaster. Why was she chosen along with these zealots? The only one who impressed her at all was the boy. He seemed to hold her in higher respect than the others, so she decided that he would be the first one she would ask questions to. She walked over to Alek and got his attention. "Hey kid, over here! What's your story, boy? Who are you?"

"That is... something I would not recommend." Leonore said, partially confused about Ilya's manner. There is no reason to be so happy, let alone about drinking, and to fight drunk? Why would anyone consider doing that? She turned to observe the lady speaking with Alek, though there seemed to be nothing interesting about her outside of her silly appearance.

"IT'S A GIRL!" Arzu yelled, annoyed by everyone's stupidity. How was it not obvious?

Konrad, who had never had a drink in his life before, reached for a horn, taking a sip, and nearly spitting it out right then and there. He'd had water from the trenches better than this, how did Russians live on this stuff? Recovering, and feeling his face flush with heat, he'd again try speaking some English to the Russian man.
"You get same message, ja?"
He'd hold up the piece of paper detailing his invitation to the Swiss Alps.

"Me, ma'am?" Alek asked, caught somewhat off guard as she finished what remained of the vodka and promptly hurled the horn at the Ottoman's head. "I'm just a soldier, that's all."

Ilya, after taking a moment to confirm Arzu's statement to himself, turned to the German man. Boy, he now realized. Age didn't matter much to a Cossack though, he was a warrior none the less. "Da, I am getting this paper as well. It is unfortunate, Ilya can not read the English."

Konrad would nod, having trouble understanding the accented English, only adding to his confusion. Thankfully, he managed to get the gist of it, and nodded. He himself had one of the soldiers escorting him read it to him. He would shrug, making sure to display his confusion, before replying.
"Ist very bizarr, ja?"

"Just a soldier-you should be at home!" Arzu yelled back. That was probably going to get him in trouble.

"At home?" Alek asked the Ottoman, Arzu, as her brows furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean?"

Looking over the boy again, she realized that he was actually in fact a very masculine girl. She wanted to get angry at herself for not picking that up sooner, but she had to keep her cool under these circumstances. "Well kid, do you want to be referred to as a boy or girl?" She felt a little bit of odd placed respect for the kid. She couldn't quite place the feeling, but she would follow it. The least she could do is get respect their gender.
